Solution

Oviduct- fertilisation

Oviduct or the fallopian tubes have three regions:

● Infundibulum: Funnel-shaped part that has finger like projections called fimbriae which helps in collecting the ovum during ovulation.

● Ampulla: Fertilisation takes place in the ampulla of the oviduct.

● Isthmus: Narrow part connecting amupulla to ovary.

The cilia lining the oviducts help in transporting the released ovum from the ovary to the uterus.

Uterus- Pregnancy

Uterus is a hollow, muscular, pear-shaped organ in the female reproductive system. After fertilisation, the blastocyst attaches to the uterine wall and the development of embryo takes place in the uterus. The foetus remains in the uterus during the whole gestation/ pregnancy period.

Final answer

b: Uterus
