The reaction of Zinc chloride $({ZnCl}_{2})$ with caustic soda $(NaOH)$ solution results in the formation of a white-colored precipitate of Zinc hydroxide $(Zn {(OH)}_{2})$ and Sodium chloride $(NaCl)$ solution.
The chemical reaction is given below:
${ZnCl}_{2} (aq) + 2 NaOH (aq) \to Zn {(OH)}_{2} ↓ + 2 NaCl (aq)$
(white colour)
Thus, when Zinc chloride solution reacts with caustic soda solution, it gives a white colored precipitate.
