But-1-ene and but-2-ene are examples of position isomerism.

Positional isomers have the same molecular formula and same carbon skeleton and the same functional groups but differ from each other in the location of the functional groups (or substituents).

But-1-ene and but-2-ene have different positions of double bond so these are positional isomers.
