Solution
Transport of oxygen and nutrients:
The red-colored body fluid that transports oxygen and nutrients to all the tissues in the body is known as blood.
The presence of iron and respiratory pigment haemoglobin gives a red-colored appearance to blood.
Haemoglobin acts as an oxygen-carrier molecule.
Tissue fluid:
During the passage of blood through the capillaries into the tissues, a few amounts of water along with some soluble substances come out to fill the spaces between the cells of the tissue.
Only a small amount of proteins come out from the capillary and the complex molecules and other larger and formed elements in the blood remain in the blood vessel.
The released out fluid is called tissue fluid or Extracellular fluid (ECF) provides oxygen and nutrients to the cells.
