Find out the inclination of the straight line passing through the point (-3,6) and mid point of the line joining (4,-5) and (-2,9).
Mid-point of line joining two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is (x1+x22,y1+y22)
∴ Midpoint of (4, -5) and (-2, 9) is
= (4−22,−5+92)
= (1, 2)
∵ Slope of a line passing through the points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is y2–y1x2–x1
∴ Slope of the line passes through (-3, 6) and (1, 2) is
= 2−61+3
= -1
Hence, slope of the line is -1.
