Find power (in watt) supplied by current source?

  1. -420

Open in App
Solution

The correct option is A -420
According to Tellegan's theorem,
The algebraic sum of power of each element is equal to zero.
nk=1Vk ik=0
P8V=V×i
=(8×6)
=48 W
P4Ω=i2R
=(6)2×4
=144 W
PR2=6×4=24 W
P3Ω=102×3=300 W
Now, From Tellegan's Theorem,
P8V+P4Ω+PR2+P3Ω+P10A=0
48W+144W+24W+300W=P10A
P10A=420 WP10A=420 W
