Find the area enclosed by the following figure:

The given shape contains a rectangle and triangle.
For rectangle, l = 15 cm and b = 3 cm

$\therefore$ Area of rectangle $=l\times b=15\times 3=45c{m}^2$
According to the figure.
BE = AB - AE = 15 - 10 = 5 cm
For triangle, base (b) = BE = 5cm and heihgt (h) = 4 cm
$\therefore$ Area of $\Delta BEG=\frac{1}{2}\times b\times h=\frac{1}{2}\times 5\times 4=10c{m}^2$
$\therefore$ Total area enclosed by the shape $=(45+10)c{m}^2=55c{m}^2.$
