Open in App
Solution

We want to find out the area of a circle.

It is given that circumference of the circle =110cm

we know that circumference of the circle =2πr

Where r is the radius of the circle.

2πr=110

2×227×r=110

r=110×744

r=10×74

r=704

r=17.5

Area of the circle =πr2

=227×704×704

=22×10×704×4

=11×5×704

=11×5×17.5

=962.5cm2

Hence, the area of a circle is 962.5cm2
