Open in App
Solution

Area of the given figure = Area of two semi-circles + Area of two triangles + Area of a square
Area of triangle =s(sa)(sb)(sc) [ a = 5 cm, b = 5 cm and c = 6 cm, given]
where,
s=a+b+c2=5+5+62
=162=8cm

Area of a triangle
=8(85)(85)(86)
=8×3×3×2=144=12 cm2

Area of 2 triangles =2×12=24cm2

Area of 2 semi-circles = Area of 1 circle

Area of a circle =πr2=227×3×3=9×227=1987=28.28 cm2

Area of the square =a2 =6×6=36 cm2 (a = side of the square)

Area of the given figure
=(24+28.28+36)cm2=88.28 cm2
