The correct option is B 40 cm2
Given,
Length of the diagonal = d = 10 cm
The lengths of the perpendiculars dropped on AC are 5 cm and 3 cm.
So, h1= 5 cm and h2= 3 cm
Now,
Area of ABCD =d2(h1 + h2)
= 102(5 + 3)
= 102 × 8
=5×8 = 40 cm2
Area of the quadrilateral = 40 cm2
