Here, we have two shapes in the given figure - a square and a circle.

Side of the square = 7 cm, and

Diameter of the circle = 7 cm

Radius of the circle = 72cm

Area of the shaded portion = Area of the square - Area of the circle

=Side2πr2

=72227×72×72

=4938.5
=10.5 cm2
