Find the area of the shaded portion in the following figure.

Area of the shaded portion = Area of $\Delta PTQ$
$\because$ Area of triangle $=\frac{1}{2}\times Base\times Height$
So, in $\Delta PTQ$, RQ = Height
$\therefore$ Area of $\Delta PTQ=\frac{1}{2}\times 36\times 24$
$=18\times 24=432m^2$
