Solution

Given:

Perimeter of rectangle 160 cm

In a rectangle, if

Length =l, Breadth =b Then

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

2(l+b)=160 cm

2(l+b)=160 cm

l+b=160 cm2

l+b=80 cm---(1)

Now, lets evaluate the breadth based on the values of given lengths.

(a)

l=25 cm

From (1)

l+b=80 cm

25 cm+b=80 cm

b=80 cm25 cm

b=55 cm

(b)

l=60 cm

From (1),

l+b=80 cm

60 cm+b=80 cm

b=80 cm60 cm

b=20 cm

(c)

l=56.5 cm

From (1),

l+b=80 cm

56.5 cm+b=80 cm

b=80 cm56.5 cm

b=23.5 cm
