So (i) $\frac{3}{7}$
The numerator of the fraction = 3
The denominator of the fraction = 7
Difference = 7 - 3 = 4

(ii) $\frac{4}{9}$
The numerator of the fraction = 4
The denominator of the fraction = 9
Difference = 9 - 4 = 5

(iii) $\frac{1}{7}$
The numerator of the fraction = 1
The denominator of the fraction = 7
Difference = 7 - 1 = 6
