Equation of the straight line parallel to $x - 8 y + 13 = 0$ is $x - 8 y + k = 0$

$2 - 8 (5) + k = 0$ $\Rightarrow$ $k = 38$
$∴$ Equation of the required straight line is $x - 8 y + 38 = 0$
