Case 1: Drawing a line which is parallel to x−axis and passing through (–2,3)
For points on a line parallel to x−axis, the y coordinate is constant.Here, y=3 for the points on the line .
Hence, the equation of the line is y=3.
Case 2: Similarly,
Drawing a line which is parallel to y- axis and passing through (–2,3)
For points on a line parallel to y−axis, the x coordinate is constant.
Here, x=−2 for the point (−2,3) which is on the line.
Hence, the equation of the line is x=−2.
