Find the equivalent fraction of 59 having
(i) denominator 54
(ii) numerator 35

(i) Let 59 = 54
Clearly, 54 = 9 × 6
So, we multiply the numerator by 6.
∴ ​59 = 5×69×6= 3054
Hence, the required fraction is 3054.
(ii) ​Let 59 = 35
Clearly, 35 = 5 × 7
So, we multiply the denominator by 7.
∴ ​59 = 5×79×7= 3563
Hence, the required fraction is 3563.
