Finding the perimeter of the rectangle

We know that, perimeter of the rectangle $=2(\text{l+b)}$, where $\text{l=length,b=breadth}$

First, we make the units of length and breadth same

We know that $\text{1 m=100 cm}$

Length $=\text{4.5 m =4.5 ×100=450 cm}$ and breadth $=60\text{cm}$

Therefore,

Perimeter $=2(450+60)$

$$\begin{gathered} =2\left(510\right) \\ =1020\text{cm} \end{gathered}$$

Hence, perimeter of the rectangle is $1020\text{cm}$
