Solution

(a) Change both 36 minutes and 2 hours to the same unit.
Now, 36 minutes =36 minutes

2 hours =2×60 minutes =120 minutes

Ratio of 36 minutes to 2 hours

36120=(36÷12)(120÷12)=310=310

(b) First convert both into numbers with the same unit.
50 cm =50 cm

5 metres =500 cm

Hence, ratio of 50 cm to 5 metes is

=50500=(50÷50)(500÷50)=110=110

(c) First convert both into numbers with the same unit.

32 g = 32 g
3kg = 3000 g
Ratio=323000=(32÷8)(3000÷8)=4375=4375

(d) First, convert both into numbers with the same unit.
3 days =3 days
1 year =365 days
Ratio =3∶ 365
