We have to convert the quantities to the same unit.
Re 1 = 100 paise
⇒ Rs 2 = 2 × 100 paise = 200 paise

∴ Ratio of the second quantity (75 paise) to the first quantity (200 paise)$=\frac{\mathrm{Second}\mathrm{quantity}}{\mathrm{First}\mathrm{quantity}}$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{75}{200} \\ =\frac{75÷25}{200÷25} \\ =\frac{3}{8} \\ =3:8 \end{gathered}$$
