$2y=5+x=7y=\frac{(5+x)}{2}$

$3x-7=\frac{-5}{x}(5+x)$

$6x-14=-25-5x=7x=-11$

$\therefore x=-1,y=\left(\frac{5+x}{2}\right)=\frac{5-1}{2}=2$
