The correct option is C $x = - 1, y = 2$
Given $(3 x - 7) + 2 i y = - 5 y + (5 + x) i$

Equating the real parts and imaginary parts separately ,
$3 x - 7 = - 5 y$ and $2 y = 5 + x$
$\Rightarrow 3 x + 5 y = 7$ and $x - 2 y = - 5$

On solving both the equations
$x = - 1, y = 2$
