Roots of the quadratic equation ax2+bx+c=0 can be found out by using the quadratic formula, given by,
x=b±b24ac2a.

Given, x21=0
x21=0 can be written as x2+0x1=0.
Then, a = 1, b = 0 and c = -1.
x=0±02(4×1×1)2×1 =±42 =±1

Therefore, the roots of x21=0 are x=1 and x=1.
