Question

Find the sum of the following vectors:
a=^i3^k,.b=2^j^k,c=2^i3^j+2^k

Open in App
Solution

Add the vectors
a=^i3^k, b=2^j^k and c=2^i3^j+2^k
by writing them in the component form that is

a=1,0,3, b=0,2,1 and c=2,3,2

The sum of the vectors can be computed as follows:

a+b+c=(1+0+2,0+23,31+2)
=3,1,2

Hence the sum of the vectors is 3,1,2.
