Given, $7 p - 3 = 3 p + 8$

$\Rightarrow 7 p - 3 p = 8 + 3$ ...[Transposing $p$ terms to one side]

$\Rightarrow 4 p = 11$ ...[On simplifying]

$\Rightarrow p = \frac{11}{4}$ ...[Dividing $4$ on both sides]

$∴ p = \frac{11}{4}$ .
