Horizontal and Vertical Components of Projectile Motion
Find the velo...
Question
Find the velocity of a projectile at the highest point, if it is projected with a speed 15 m s−1, in the direction 45o above horizontal. [take g=10ms−2]

Solution
At highest point the final velocity will
be 15×cos45=10.6msec in the horizontal direction (parallel to ground).
At highest point the y component of
velocity becomes zero so only velocity in the horizontal direction remains.
