Let the given condition be modified as shown in the below figure

Assuming, the block A and pulley P2 move upward and taking upward as positive, we have
For Pulley P2:
VP2=VB+VA2=4+VA2....(i)
Now, for pulley P1:
VP1=VC+VP22=3+4+VA22
10=2+VA4 VA=42 m/s
Hence, the velocity of block A is VA=42 m/s, upwards.
