The correct option is B 16 m/s upwards.
Given the condition

As per the pulley formula, taking upward positive, we have
VP=VA+VB2
Now, suppose the block A moves upward, then we have
VP=VA+VB2 10=VA+42
VA=16 m/s
Hence, velocity of block A is 16 m/s upwards.
