Let the three conescutive whole number be x, x + 1, x + 2.

From the given information,

$$\begin{gathered} 45<x+\left(x+1\right)+\left(x+2\right)\mathrm{and}x+\left(x+1\right)+\left(x+2\right)<54 \\ \therefore 45<3x+3\mathrm{and}3x+3<54 \\ \therefore 42<3x\mathrm{and}3x<51 \\ \therefore 14<x\mathrm{and}x<17 \\ \therefore x=15,16 \end{gathered}$$

If x = 15,
∴ The other two numbers are 16 and 17.

If x = 16,
∴ The other two numbers are 17 and 18.

Hence, three conescutive whole numbers are 15, 16, 17 or 16, 17, 18.
