We have,

$\frac{1}{3} : \frac{1}{4} :: \frac{1}{9} : x$

$\frac{\frac{1}{3}}{\frac{1}{4}} = \frac{\frac{1}{9}}{x}$

$\frac{4}{3} = \frac{1}{9 x}$

$9 x = \frac{3}{4}$

$x = \frac{3}{9 \times 4}$

$x = \frac{1}{12}$

Hence, this is the answer.
