By doing the cross multiplication, we get
5 (x +7 ) = 3(5+3x-2)
5x + 35 = 15+9x - 6
35-15+6 = 9x - 5x
20+6 = 4x
26 = 4x

x= 26/4
= 13/2
Hence, the value of x = 13/2 or x= 6.5
