a) Setup $A$ : Sugar will form $C_{2} H_{5} O H$ and $C O_{2}$ due to anaerobic respiration of yeast.
Setup $B$ : Sugar will hydrolyze into sucrose + lactose.
b) A white turbidity of $C a C O_{3}$ is formed in setup $A$ while no such turbidity is formed in setup $B$ .
c) Inference is $C O_{2}$ is produced during respiration as a byproduct.
