a) Setup A: Sugar will form C2H5OH and CO2 due to anaerobic respiration of yeast.
Setup B: Sugar will hydrolyze into sucrose + lactose.
b) A white turbidity of CaCO3 is formed in setup A while no such turbidity is formed in setup B.
c) Inference is CO2 is produced during respiration as a byproduct.
