(i) What is the minimum value of the wages given?

(ii) What is the maximum value of the wages given?

(iii)What is the range of the wages given?

(iv) What is the mean of the wages?

(v)How many workers are getting less than the mean value of the wages?

Step 1: Finding the minimum value of the wages:

From the given data, 150 is the least wage.

So the minimum value of the wages is 150.

Step 2: Finding the maximum value of the wages:

From the given data, 500 is the maximum

So the maximum value of the wages is500.

Step 3: Finding the range of the wages

Range= Highest value of observation -the lowest value of the observation

=500-150=350 (from steps1and2 )

Hence, the range of the given wages is350.

Step 4: Finding the mean of the wages:

Arithmeticmean=sumofallobservationstotalnumberofobservations=300+250+200+150+350+210+270+400+500+38010=301010=301.

Hence, the mean wage is 301.

Step 5 Finding the wages below the mean wages:

By step 4, the mean wage is301

The number of wages below the mean wages is6{300,250,200,150,210,270}

Hence, the number of wages below the mean wage is 6.
