(i) (3, 2) is a solution
(ii) (2, 3) is not a solution

Solution

Given equation: 6x - 5y = 8

(i) (3, 2) is a solution.
Putting x = 3 , y = 2 in the equation, we get:
LHS = 6×3 - 5×2 = 18 - 10 = 8 = RHS.
Hence, (3, 2) is a solution of the given equation.

(ii) (2, 3) is not a solution.
Putting x = 2 , y = 3 in the equation, we get:
LHS = 6×2 - 5×3 = 12 - 15 = -3 RHS.
Hence, (2, 3) is not a solution of the given equation.
