1, B, C and D talk about philosophy and therefore should come together. 'A' that talks about the other discipline, engineering (on the other hand, engineering..) should then come just before 6, which talks about the third discipline, geosciences. Option C) is the only option in which A comes immediately before 6. Therefore, option (C) is the correct answer.
