For the following question, arrange the sentences A, B, C, and D between sentences 1 and 6 to form a logical sequence with sentence 1 and sentence 6 as the starting sentence and the concluding sentence respectively:

(1) He took a cigarette from my case.
(A) But as soon as the fit of coughing was over, he replaced it between his lips.
(B) He lit it and placed it between his lips.
(C) Surprised, he quickly removed it from his lips.
(D) Slowly he took a puff at it and began coughing.
(6) And then he continued to draw upon it.

The correct option is D BDCA
He lit the cigarette before he took a puff and therefore, B should come before D. Also, A precedes 6 since he replaced the cigarette between his lips and then continued to draw upon it.
