Solution

The correct option is A Rajendra Chola
Rajendra Chola extended the borders of the Chola Empire to the Gangetic basin. He considered this as a conquest of or capturing of the Holy Ganga itself. In memory of this conquest he assumed the title ‘Gangaikonda’, meaning, 'Conqueror of Ganga.' He also built a new capital by name ‘Gangaikonda Cholapuram’ and built a big temple of Shiva there. For the purpose of irrigation in the capital, he built a tank called ‘Cholagangam’, which means, 'the Ganga of the Cholas!'
