Natural habitat is an ecological or environmental area where a specific species lives.

Forest :

  1. Forests are home to more than three-quarters of the world's life on land.
  2. These ecosystems are complex webs of organisms that include plants, animals, and microorganisms.
  3. Forest also provide shelter and food as most of the species migrate through forests in search of a new place where they can adapt. So, it maintains biodiversity.
  4. Trees provide animals shade and also help wild animals to hide and attack their prey.
  5. The forest ecosystem has primary, secondary, and tertiary consumers in the food chain.
  6. Forest also acts as a natural purifier of air. It plays a key role in balancing the carbon cycle by absorbing carbon dioxide from animals.
  7. It also helps in regulating the global temperature which is necessary for the breeding of some animals.

Hence, forests are also known as homes of wild animals as they provide food, shelter, and oxygen to survive.
