Solution

The correct option is A Transcription
Translation is the synthesis of polypeptide/ protein by polymerization of amino acids using mRNA sequence as template; it is carried out on ribosomes and tRNA serves to carry amino acids from cell pool to mRNA. Transcription is the process of RNA synthesis using DNA template strand by addition of ribonucleotides to 3’ hydroxyl end of primer; it is carried out by RNA polymerase in nucleus. Reverse transcriptase enzyme synthesizes a DNA copy (cDNA) of RNA by the process of reverse transcription. Transduction is transfer of genetic material from one strain to other via viral particles. The virus infects bacteria and released viral particles carry part of bacterial genetic material which is then transferred to next host bacterium. Correct answer is B.
