Total number of outcomes = 18

The multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18

The multiples of 7 are 7, 14.

Thus, the favourable outcomes are 3, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 15 and 18

Number of favourable outcomes = 8

Probability of an event, P(E)=number of favourable outcomestotal number of outcomes

P(getting multiple of 3 or 7) = 818 = 49

Therefore, probability that the number is multiple of 3 or 7 is 49 .
