Solution

The correct option is A 1 and 3
A sentence is in active or passive voice depending on whether its verb is in active or passive voice. A verb is in active voice when its form shows that the subject does something/ some action. A verb is in passive voice when something is done to the subject.
In all of the four sentences, "Sharmi" is the subject. In 1), Sharmi "loves" to dance i.e., the subject does the action. In 3), Sharmi "learnt a lot of nuances" i.e., the subject, did the action i.e. 'learnt'. Hence, 1) and 3) are in active voice. Option A is therefore correct and option C is incorrect.
In 2), Sharmi "was taught" dance. i.e., the action is performed on the subject. In 4), Sharmi "was groomed" to be a dancer. i.e., the action is performed on the subject. Hence 2) and 4) are in passive voice. Option B is incorrect.
Option D is incorrect since the answer lies in A.
