Solution

The correct option is D There is no bending of limbs
Gait is the term used for the pattern of movement of an animal’s limbs over a solid surface. Unlike most animals, during walking, the centre of mass of an elephant does not shift from side to side instead it stays at a constant height from the ground even though its legs bounce up and down. Pronounced knee bending is observed in elephants while running while no noticeable bending of limbs is observed. This works as a stress reduction mechanism.
So, the correct answer is 'There is no bending of limbs'.
