There are three strategies for biological control agents to control insect are importation, augmentation, and conservation.
Importation- The introduction of an insect's natural enemies to a new locale where they do not occur naturally.
Augmentation- A large population of natural enemies is administered for quick insect control.
Conservation- Natural enemies are already adapted to the habitat and to the target insect.
Biological agents are Predator such as Lady beetle, Parasitoids such as wasps and flies.
