Wildlife species may become totally extinct if no measures are taken to protect them.

1. Over exploitation of natural resources.

2. Destruction of their natural habitats by deforestation, overgrazing, increased urbanisation, forest fires etc.

3. Indiscriminate hunting and poaching of wildlife.
