Solution

Dear student,

Find below the table showing differences between antibiotics and vaccine :-
VACCINES ANTIBIOTICS
Vaccine is a preparation to improve immunity of the body towards a particular disease.

It consists of weakened causal agent or substance resembling the agent.

This agent enters and interacts with the immune system of the body instigating it to produce antibodies. These antibodies get stored and are effective when the same agent strikes again.

Vaccines are given as a precaution against disease.
An antibiotic is a compound or a substance that kills or inhibits the growth of bacteria.

It is used to treat infections caused by microorganisms. It does not damage host cells.

An antibiotic is given after the disease has occurred for its cure.
