  1. When the head turns in various directions, the endolymph which is a fluid present in a semicircular canal is also shaken resulting in the fluid pushing the cupula that sends nerve impulse to the brain through auditory nerves.
  1. Otoliths press against stereocilia due to gravitational pull and stimulate the initiation of a nerve impulse.
2. Cristae (semicircular canals) are responsible for dynamic equilibrium.2. Maculae (Saccule and Utricle) are responsible for static equilibrium.
