Leaf:

  1. The leaf is a flat, green structure in plants that prepares food by the process of photosynthesis.
  2. Stomata are tiny pores found on the epidermal surface of leaves. Gaseous exchange occurs by stomata.
  3. Each stoma is surrounded by guard cells which help in the opening and closing of stomata.
  4. The closing and opening of the stoma between the inferior leaves and the environment result in the exchange of gases.
