a) When a gas molecule is ionized by heating or passing electricity ,the e- from nuclei of atom get separated and this state of gas molecule is known as plasma state.
Stars is mainly made up of He and H gas atom and they are in the form of its ion in gaseous state,. High temperature of that plasma is found in stars.

b) Solids are closely packed because of which force of attraction between them is high and so intermolecular force is high in solids.
