(ii) Amoeba does not have a regular shape.

Solution

Answer

Amoeba does not have a regular shape as it changes its shape to eat or to move.

The cytoplasm of the cell is pushed outwards to form a projection called pseudopodia.

Pseudopodia acts as the organ of locomotion for the amoeba to move from one place to another.

Also, pseudopodia surround the food and ingest it to break it into smaller pieces through digestive enzymes.
