Give scientific reasons:
1. A gas exerts pressure on the walls of a closed container.
2. In LPG cylinder, the gas filled is in the liquefied state.
1. In the gaseous state, the particles move about randomly at high speed. During the movement, the particles hit each other and also the walls of the container. The pressure exerted by the gas is because of this force exerted by gas particles per unit area on the walls of the container.
2. A gas does not have a fixed volume. The volume of gas becomes equal to the container in which it is placed. So, it is not possible to measure the volume of gas to be filled in the cylinder. Therefore, it is necessary to liquefy the gas under high pressure in order to pack gas (any fixed amount) in the cylinder.
